Lauren Bone is an American lawyer and anti-transgender activist. Bone and Candice Jackson have been partners in the law firm Jackson Bone since 2022.
Background
Lauren Rachel Adams was born in February of 1987 and grew up in the Milwaukee area.
After graduating from Rufus King High School, Bone then attended University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2009, a law degree in 2014, and a business certificate in 2019. Bone held a number of internships while completing this education. From 2014 to 2021 Bone had a part-time solo practice. From 2016 to 2020 Bone held a compliance role at Cisco.
Bone lives with spouse James Joseph “Jim” Bone (born 1969) and their child, Owen.
Anti-transgender activism
Bone served as legal director for Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) from 2020-2022.
Bone co-authored the Women’s Bill of Rights with Independent Women’s Voice and serves as co-counsel on Chandler v. CDCR, a case that attacks SB 132, a groundbreaking California law protecting incarcerated transgender people.
