Heather Heying is an American biologist and anti-transgender activist.

Heather Elizabeth Heying was born in April 26, 1969 and grew up in Los Angeles.
Heying earned a bachelor’s degree from University of California at Santa Cruz and a doctorate from University of Michigan
Heying is married to biologist Bret Samuel Weinstein (born February 21, 1969). They both taught at Evergreen State College until resigning during 2017 campus protests involving race. Weinstein had criticized the protests, which became a right-wing fixation for several months. Weinstein and Heying resigned and sued the school for $3.8 million, ultimately settling for $250,000 each.
