Vernadette Broyles vs. transgender people

Vernadette Broyles is an American lawyer and anti-transgender extremist. Broyles has stated the transgender rights movement poses an “existential threat to our culture.”

Background

Vernadette R. Ramirez was born February 28, 1965, attended Ayer High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1987, then a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1995.

Spouse Kevin Eric Broyles (born 1970) is also a lawyer. Their children are anti-trans activist Caleb Broyles and Elicia Broyles.

Shortly thereafter, friends from graduate school who were in Atlanta, Vernadette and Kevin Broyles, became very involved, and Vernadette’s law firm adopted the Joseph Project 2000 as an official pro bono client.

Broyles and Joanne B. Brown ran Georgia Adoption & Family Law Practice, a Broyles & Brown LLC.

Anti-trans activism

Broyles founded the non-profit Child & Parental Rights Campaign, Inc. (CPR-C) “to defend the civil rights of children and of parents against harms caused by the sexualization of children and gender identity ideology and to educate school systems and the public regarding such harms.”

Broyles represents anti-trans activist Jamie Reed in a case involving medical records of trans and gender diverse youth at a St. Louis clinic where Reed worked.
