Tom Neumark is an American software manager and anti-transgender activist. Neumark is part of the “parental rights” faction of the anti-transgender movement and is affiliated with anti-trans groups Genspect, The Killarney Group, Transparency in Education, and Unteach the Overreach.
Background
Thomas “Tom” Neumark was born on July 31, 1974. Neumark earned a bachelor’s degree from West Virgaina Wesleyan College and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins.
Neumark has held roles at Electronic Data Systems, GE, Carey International, Lockheed Martin, Near Infinity, and Blue Star Software. Neumark is a software engineering manager at Microsoft. In 2017 Neumark founded BrainSpark Consulting.
Neumark is founding president of Frederick Classical Charter School and serves on the Frederick News-Post board of contributors. Neumark has participated in local tennis tournaments and is also involved in the “school choice” movement of activists seeking to gut Americanpublic education. Neumark has been a visiting fellow of the Maryland Public Policy Institute.
Neumark lives in Germantown, Maryland with spouse Patricia Neumark (born November 24, 1976). Their child Laura Madeline Neumark graduated from Saint John’s Catholic Preparatory School in 2022 and matriculated at Coe College.
