Robert Kim “Rob” Henderson was born on December 18, 1990 to a Korean mother and Mexican father. Henderson was placed in foster care at age three.
Henderson served in the United States Air Force after high school. Henderson then earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a doctorate from the University of Cambridge.
Writing
Henederson developed the concept of “luxury beliefs,” views that “confer status on members of the upper class at little cost while inflicting costs on persons in lower classes.” Henderson outlined the conept in the autobiography Troubled: A Memoir of Foster Care, Family, and Social Class.
