Leigh Stein and transgender people

Leigh Stein is an American writer who appeared with Katie Herzog on anti-trans podcast Blocked and Reported and with anti-trans activist Meghan Daum on The Unspeakable.

Background

Leigh Stein was born October 20, 1984 and grew up in Lombard, Illinois. Stein dropped out of Glenbard East High School and took courses at the College of DuPage, Brooklyn College, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Stein worked as a Snow White impersonator to make ends meet.

Stein was on the staff of The New Yorker.

From 2014–2017, Stein ran “a secret Facebook group of 40,000 women writers,” Stein co-founded and served as executive director of Out of the Binders/BinderCon, a feminist nonprofit organization that was inclusive of trans and gender diverse people.

Stein owns Rhymes With Bee LLC.
