Jeff Maurer vs. transgender people

Jeff Maurer is an American podcaster and comedian who appeared on Blocked and Reported with anti-trans activist Jesse Singal.

Background

Jeffrey “Jeff” Maurer was born in 1980 and grew up in Oregon, Kentucky, Washington state, and in Chesapeake, Virginia. Maurer earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 2002, then served in the Peace Corps. Maurer then earned a master’s degree from University of Chicago.

Maurer performed standup comedy and was a writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Maurer has described that the show’s politics became too progressive for Maurer’s liking.

Maurer is married to Lauren R. Alpert Maurer. They had a child named Grant Quentin Maurer in 2022.
