Emmett Rensin is an American writer who appeared on anti-trans podcast Blocked and Reported.
Rensin is a strong proponent of disease models of neurodiversity. Rensin has a deep personal identification with metaphors of disease and impairment as self-descriptors.
Background
Emmett L. Rensin was born January 20, 1990 and earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Chicago in 2012.
In 2009 Alex Aciman and Rensin published Twitterature, a book that reimagined notable works of literature as Twitter threads.
Transgender issues
Because Resnin is a Twitter-addicted philosophy major who believes in mental illness models and is critical of liberals, anti-trans activist Jesse Singal saw a kindred spirit and invited Rensin on the podcast Blocked and Reported.
