Lauren Bone is an American lawyer and anti-transgender activist. She and Candice Jackson have been partners in the law firm Jackson Bone since 2022.
Background
Lauren Rachel Adams was born in February of 1987. She grew up in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Rufus King High School. She then attended University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2009, a law degree in 2014, and a business certificate in 2019. She held a number of internships while completing her education. From 2014 to 2021 she had a part-time solo practice. From 2016 to 2020 she held a compliance role at Cisco.
Bone lives with her husband James Joseph “Jim” Bone (born 1969) and their child, Owen.
Anti-transgender activism
Bone served as legal director for Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) from 2020-2022.
Bone co-authored the Women’s Bill of Rights with Independent Women’s Voice and serves as co-counsel on Chandler v. CDCR, a case that attacks SB 132, a groundbreaking California law protecting incarcerated transgender people.
