Jennifer Sey vs. transgender people

Jennifer Sey is an American retired gymnast, author, marketing executive, and anti-transgender activist. Sey is a sex segregationist and prominent opponent of transgender athletes participating in sex-segregated competitive sports. Sey is founder of anti-trans clothing line XX-XY Athletics.

Background

Jennifer Anne Sey was born in 1969. Sey was a seven-time member of the U.S. Women’s National Team and was the 1986 U.S. Women’s All-Around National Champion.

Sey’s 2008 memoir Chalked Up detailed abuse in gymnastics. Sey’s 2020 documentary Athlete A examined the sex crimes of Larry Nassar in the context of broader abuses in the Olympics.

Sey began working at Levi Strauss & Co. in 1999, rising to chief marketing officer and then Brand President.

During the COVID pandemic, Sey became an outspoken critic of school closures. In January 2022, Sey was asked to resign from Levi’s.

Sey lives in Denver and has four children.

Anti-trans activism

Sey was a speaker on the anti-trans “Take Back Title IX Summer Bus Tour” organizaed by Our Bodies, Our Sports.

Sey founded anti-trans clothing line XX-XY Athletics in 2024.
