Tumblr and transgender people

Tumblr was an important social media platform for adolescents and young adults who are trans and gender diverse.

Tumblr began in 2007 and quickly grew in popularity. Following its 2013 acquisition by Yahoo, a series of policy changes, especially around adult content, led to decline in use.
