Background
Jordan Christopher Deschamps-Braly was born in 1979 in Oklahoma. He grew up in Ada, Oklahoma and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma Honors College with an advanced degree in biochemistry in 2001, then from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2005. Following this, he completed his general and plastic surgery residencies at OU Medical Center. He then completed craniofacial surgery fellowships with Arlen Denny at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, with Daniel Marchac in Paris, and with Hugo Obwegeser at University Hospital Zurich.
In 2010 Deschamps-Braly became a clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma’s Division of Plastic Surgery. In 2012 he founded the Deschamps-Braly Clinic of Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery, operating at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. In 2013 he took a surgical position at Children’s Hospital Oakland, with a focus on pediatric craniofacial anomalies such as craniosynostosis and hypertelorism.

Book
In 2021, Dr. Deschamps-Braly published Facial Feminization Surgery: A Journey to Gender Affirmation. This is a revision of the 2010 book by Douglas Ousterhout. The book includes an overview of all procedures as well as photos of results and patient first-hand reports.
Documentary
Dr. Deschamps-Braly’s clinic is the subject of a 2021 documentary by Tennison Films. The film traces his ascent to the top of his field and includes interviews with his mentors, colleagues, and patients.
